The New Budget Launch Monitors for 2026: PGA Show Recap
A quick-hit rundown of the standout launch monitor tech coming to home simulators this year.
The 2026 PGA Show delivered a wave of new launch monitor tech, and the budget end of the market is getting more crowded than ever. Here's a fast-paced rundown of the standout products worth keeping an eye on as they roll out through the year.
These are quick hits — the units that jumped out most from walking the show floor with the PlayBetter team. If any of these catch your eye, expect full reviews as they hit the market.
Blue Tees Rainmaker — $600
Blue Tees, better known for its rangefinders, announced its first launch monitor this year: the Rainmaker. At $600 it's got a built-in display and works with third-party apps like GS Pro, E6 Connect, and Awesome Golf.
It's a Doppler unit, so it sits behind you rather than beside the hitting area — which has its own advantages. There's a lot you can do without a subscription here, and it competes directly with the SkyTrak at the low end. Definitely one to watch.

Square Omni — $1,600
The Square Omni is a new indoor/outdoor launch monitor available for preorder at $1,600. It uses four cameras, requires no marked balls, and delivers tons of data including face impact. It feels nicer in the hand than the Square Home Edition and registers shots fast.
The on-device display is a bit of a miss, though — it's recessed to protect it from ball strikes, but from the hitting position down at ground level you don't get a great view of the numbers. I'd rather see data on the top of the device than the front.
A word of caution: Square hits these price points by cutting corners, and customer service is one of them. My own Square unit died within warranty, support confirmed a hardware fault and promised a replacement, then ghosted me for months. That's the gamble you take.

Square Golf Omni Launch Monitor
What works
- Four-camera indoor/outdoor system

- Tons of data including face impact
- Nicer build than Square Home Edition
What doesn't
- Recessed front display hard to read
- Spotty customer service history
- $1,600 price point
ShotScope LM1 & Par Breaker Swing Pulse X10
If $600 didn't sound cheap enough, ShotScope announced the LM1 at just $200. It's an indoor/outdoor unit with an on-device display, but it doesn't hook up to sim software — it's purely a numbers device. Perfect for throwing in your bag as a range tool or course companion.
New company Par Breaker showed off the Swing Pulse X10 at $799. It sits behind the ball like a Rapsodo, with built-in cameras for swing and impact capture plus replay. It reads 16 metrics — including all club metrics — completely free with no subscription, integrates with Awesome Golf and E6 Connect (with GS Pro in talks), and offers a magnetic alignment laser accessory.
Rapsodo, Uneekor & Garmin Updates
Rapsodo had its ceiling-mounted CLM wired into a sim booth, paired with the new Rapsodo Studio PC software. The visuals looked as good as anything out there — but Studio will require an extra subscription fee, even for lifetime members.
The Uneekor booth was packed all show, and their software explains why. They're bringing Aimy to market, an AI-based swing coach that scores your swing and offers encouraging, specific feedback using the swing cameras.
Garmin isn't launching a new monitor but is pushing software updates, including an improved Home Tee Hero for R10 users with better graphics and on-course practice modes. The Approach G82 — a handheld GPS with built-in launch monitor and new putt tracking — makes a compelling $600 case for combining course GPS and shot data in one unit.
Mileseey Gene Sonic Pro — $299
One of the most impressive things at the show was the Mileseey Gene Sonic Pro, a $299 combo Bluetooth speaker and GPS. The clever bit: the GPS/rangefinder component pops out so you can take it with you without the speaker — even if you left the speaker at home. Mount the speaker to your cart, then grab just the rangefinder to walk 100 yards to your ball.
Black is available now, with more colorways coming in about a month. Mileseey is doing some genuinely great work in this space.
