About

Danny Pfeiffer

Golf tech content creator, PlayBetter video expert, and the guy behind the Garage Golfers YouTube channel.

I got into golf simulators the way most people do — someone else built one first and I couldn't leave. My brother set up a Rapsodo MLM2PRO in his basement and that was it. A few months later I had my own sim studio in my garage in Colorado and a YouTube channel to document the whole thing.

I came to this from a tech background — I ran a web development agency for years before moving into tech sales. Golf simulators turned out to be the perfect intersection of gear nerdery, software, and a game I love. Playing out of Colorado means a short outdoor season, so the sim gets used 3–4 times a week through winter. It's also become the way I'm introducing my daughter to the game — low pressure, no slow groups, just data and reps.

Anybody even remotely connected to the game could benefit from a launch monitor, whether they have a dedicated sim space or are just headed out to the range.

PlayBetter Video Content Expert

I'm the video content expert for PlayBetter, one of the leading retailers for golf launch monitors, simulators, and GPS devices. I review products across the full range — launch monitors, hitting mats, rangefinders, sim software — and help golfers figure out what's actually worth buying at every price point.

Garage Golfers on YouTube

The Garage Golfers channel is where I put everything — unboxings, deep-dive comparisons, build guides, and real course play on the sim. The goal is honest reviews from someone who actually uses this stuff, not a quick hands-on at a trade show.

I shoot mid-90s, which I think makes me a more useful reviewer than scratch golfers who could make anything look good. The gear needs to work for regular players.

Follow along on YouTube.

New reviews, build guides, and sim sessions every week.
